St. Matthews
Hogansville, Troup County, GA
History
St. Matthews held its first services on Pentecost Sunday, May 16th, 2002. Now located in the center of Hogansville. St. Matthew’s began in a small office over a local bookstore. Even though a mission church, St. Matthew’s have baptized twenty persons in its brief history.
St. Matthew’s is a mission of the Charismatic Episcopal Church under Father Ron Clemmer, Vicar, with a vision to make visible the Kingdom of God and to bring the sacramental and liturgical life of the early church to Hogansville and the Troup County area.
A Word From Father Ron:
Our goal is to join in with fellow believers in our community in the pulling down of spiritual strongholds of darkness and evangelize those who do not yet know Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. We seek to be a demonstration of the power of Pentecost and to help in the equipping of the Saints to have a positive impact in the life of their families and those that they come in contact with in their daily walk. We provide a safe place to worship God for people of all cultures and origins.
